OBS Ford truck tailgate assist kit

I like to support small businesses for several reasons, mostly because they represent the backbone of the economy and they typically try harder. I previously gave Gerber Designs one star because I had not received my order eight months after ordering the product. He also did not respond to my emails so I was very disappointed with the way he conducted business. To say I was surprised to recive a shipment from Gerber Design yesterday (10/22/2025) , 13 months after I placed the order is an understatement. He made good on the deal and I am okay with that, I just wish he had made the effort to make the experience less frustrating.

Received notification that the shipping label was created on April 5, 2025
Multiple emails and inquires sent to the seller with no response
No tracking information as of today April 30, 2025

I understand just a one man show, but it seems no activity is made on the website or any effort to get back to my multiple emails I have sent. I ordered this 3-4 months ago and still no shipping information or any sign I’m getting it any time soon.

I ordered this well over a month ago and I have not received it. I have sent multiple emails attempting to find out the status of my order. All emails have went unanswered. Very bad customer service.

A well designed product that does what it claims - 'safety' when the tailgate is opened/let down. Stops the 'free-fall' of the tailgate, no one gets hurts from a heavy Ford tailgate free falling/bouncing when it it's bottom - it lets itself down. Allows openeing the tailgate and not having to take specific time/steps to catch the tailgate and let it down manually, as it will take care of itself as it bottoms out/cushons the stop. Much safer this way. I purchased 2 of them! Thank you Steven...
